Immerse yourself into Alaska’s frontier with our Alaska’s Scenic Pride tour. This 6 day, 5-night tour led by our local Alaskan guides who will lead you to locally renowned sites in Anchorage, Denali National Park, Wasilla, Matanuska-Susitna Valley, Palmer and Seward.

Alaska’s Scenic Pride features an immersive train ride through Alaska’s backcountry, opportunities to partake in native demonstrations and learn about Athabaskan traditions and Orthodox culture, whitewater rafting, glacier trekking, a fjord cruise and an abundance of wildlife viewing opportunities.

Immerse yourself into Alaska’s frontier with our Alaska’s Scenic Pride tour. This 6 day, 5-night tour led by our local Alaskan guides who will lead you to locally renowned sites in Anchorage, Denali National Park, Wasilla, Matanuska-Susitna Valley, Palmer and Seward.

Alaska’s Scenic Pride features an immersive train ride through Alaska’s backcountry, opportunities to partake in native demonstrations and learn about Athabaskan traditions and Orthodox culture, whitewater rafting, glacier trekking, a fjord cruise and an abundance of wildlife viewing opportunities.

Day 1 - - Anchorage  & Eklutna Historical Park & Lake: (Meals Provided: Dinner)

Your first day begins strong with a stop at Anchorage’s Native Heritage Center. The center promotes native culture and traditions with educational programs and a variety of exhibits. From traditional Longhouses to handiwork and performance arts, the center recognizes traditional native art forms, many of which are in danger of being lost.

Many types of native handicraft are on display, including bark baskets, moose hide boots and seal hide tunics. The Native Heritage Center doesn’t just provide walk-by viewing opportunities but seeks to immerse its visitors in a dynamic, evolving culture.

Travelling onwards, the village of Eklutna provides visitors with a cultural opportunity to learn about the Russian Orthodox Church and its influence on native Alaskan culture. From the onion-shaped domes of New Saint Nicholas Church to the vibrant swaths of color speckled across the Athabaskan spirit houses, nowhere else does secular religion blend with native tradition in this way.

Towards the evening, rejuvenate at Lake Lucille B & B, where you can enjoy lakeside Alaskan barbeque as dusk descends across the lake.

Day 2 - - Chickaloon: (Meals Provided: Breakfast)

Take on roller coaster waves and holes while maneuvring the white water rapids in Chickaloon. Several miles of Class III and IV whitewater provides an adrenaline-filled adventure for all levels. For those that prefer a more serene experience, the slow-paced float raft ride provides a relaxed way to see the wildlife that encompasses the area. (recommended for all levels).

Day 3 - - Denali & Denali National Park: (Meals Provided: Breakfast & Lunch)

Everything about Denali National Park is big: the scenery, the mountains, the incredible beauty, and the animals.

With over 365 acres of wild frontier, Denali’s Tundra Wildlife Tour provides an excellent opportunity to see some of Alaska’s native species. Panoramic views descend upon you from all directions, with rugged crags, snow-domed mountains and vast spans of wild Alaskan range. The tundra is home to wildlife such as the infamous grizzly bear, Dall sheep, moose, wolves and caribou. For the adventurer who yearns to see the rugged wilderness, the Denali Tundra Wildlife Tour will provide you with optimal opportunity. (Please allow between 6-8 hours)

Day 4 - - Palmer & Matanuska Glacier: (Meals Provided: Breakfast)

Azure blue lakes offer an incredible sight while the historic Hatcher Pass & Independence Gold Mine provides a glimpse into gold mining's past. Try your luck at panhandling and see what riches the river provides before continuing your journey along the Matanuska River.

With views of deep canyons and distant, snow-capped mountains, the Matanuska River opens upon the crystalline Matanuska Glacier. As one of the few trekkable Alaskan Glaciers, you’ll have the chance the experience a 1 ½ hour hike across its glacial face, providing a rare opportunity to gain insights into glaciology, geology and natural history.

In the evening, you’ll return to your Anchorage hotel for an opportunity to walk the harbor as dusk descends across the city. (Moderate lodging included; deluxe upgrades available)

Day 5 - - Seward & Kenai Fjord National Park Cruises: (Meals Provided: Breakfast & Lunch)

The epitome of any great Alaskan Experience: a train ride from Anchorage to Seward grants uncommon sights: vast mountain spires and daunting glacial basins, the craggy peaks of the Chugach Mountains and divine hanging glaciers—the great Alaskan Railway sows you into the frontier.

Afterwards, cruise with Kenai Fjord National Park Cruises and witness tranquil, iridescent waters and momentous calving glaciers. Wildlife runs impeded with an opportunity to see whales, otter, seals and golden eagles. In the evening, enjoy a walk around Seward’s quaint ports as twilight descends upon the crystalline waters.

Day 6 - - Anchorage:

Our trip culminates with our return to Anchorage. It’s advised to book return flights for after 1:00 P.M. for ample time to view its historic downtown and nature trails. If time permits, the Native Heritage Center and Anchorage Museum will introduce you to Alaskan art, culture and heritage.
